Pedro's Restaurant Official Grand Opening

Aura and Pedro Cardenas welcomes you to Jersey City's newest Latin sensation, Pedro's Restaurant located at 406 Central Avenue. Their doors opened on May 17, 2008 (day of the first Everything Jersey City Festival) and they had their official grand opening on Saturday September 27, 2008 where they were greeted by Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy, Heights Councilman Ward D, Bill Gaughan, and the CASID.
Aura Ordonez-Cardenas was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and came to the U.S. at the age of five. She has lived in Jersey City with her husband for 12 years, graduated from New Jersey City University in 2004 with a degree in Spanish and early childhood education, and ran her own daycare center.
Pedro was born in Milagros, Ecuador and came to the U.S. at the age of 25. He graduated from Hudson County Community College in May 2006 with a Culinary Arts degree. Before entering the restaurant business, he owned and operated a construction company for 20 years. Using his construction and culinary knowledge, he helped design and decorate his restaurant.
